Some jazzbo hepcat once made an album in like 27/8 and so forth – a sort of deliberately weird version of Time Out – but in the liner notes he said that he was making music for future generations, that The Olds wouldn’t understand. Amusingly, we’re still mostly in four; just very fast and with crazy polyrhythms.
